Restrictions have finally eased in the UAE and that also means you are now free to go on long drives. Of course not during the curfew timings. After being cooped up at home, who wouldn’t love a drive amidst the majestic mountains or the endless deserts. And if you’re nodding, this one’s sure get you planning. The UAE has some of the most scenic spots you can explore just driving around. So, you don’t have to worry about social distancing rules as well. 

All you need is some snacks, sanitizers, gloves, facemasks, your camera and you’re sure to love it. Here are five road trips you must take in the UAE right now!

1. Drive Down To The Tallest Mountain In The UAE

Jebel Jais is the tallest mountain in the UAE and is also home to the world longest Zip-line. The mountains stand 2000 meters above sea level with temperatures around 10 degrees cooler than the sea level. The minimum temperate that has been reordered is -5 degrees in the winters right at the top. It also lets you camp overnight with dedicated campaign zones across the mountain. It’s a perfect place to run away from the heat during summers as the moderated temperatures are 31 degrees during the day.

2. Sunset From Jebel Hafeet 

Jebel Hafeet rises up to 1240 meters above sea level which makes it the second highest peak in the UAE. Jebel Hafeet is located in heart of Al Ain City. Catch the sunset from various stop points across the mountains that overlook the beauty of Al Ain. You could also plan a staycation at the mountain by staying at the Mercure Jebel Hafeet hotel which is located near the peak of the mountain.

3. Escape The City Life In Dibba 

Dibba is a coastal region at the northeastern tip of the United Arab Emirates(UAE)/Oman peninsula on the Gulf of Oman. Escape from the city life and rive down the lanes of Dibba. It is located in Al Fujairah and is approximately a two to three hours drive. Feel like you are driving in Europe where you can expect mountains on one side and sea on the other side.

4. Catch Some Adventure In Hatta 

Hatta is just an hour drive from Dubai and it’s the perfect spot for mountain bikers, adventurers and nature-lovers. From biking to hiking there are so many activities to do in Hatta. If you love adventure then you should surely try kayaking or go hiking near the border of Oman along the winding paths of the mountains where you will see various sandy patches and sharp rocks. Mountain biking is one of the best ways to explore the hills and wadis at Hatta. Also, Explore the Hatta Heritage Village in central town which gives you a glimpse of the traditional Emirati life in historic times.

5. Drive To Unesco Sites In Al Ain 

If you love history you should probably drive down to Al Ain world heritage which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first UNESCO heritage in the country. The Al Ain heritage includes six Al Ain Oases and the archaeological sites of Bida bint Saud, Hafeet and Hili.
