What Is It?
Welcome to Bhul Bulaiya in Lucknow, where anyone can feel lost. Being a maze, there are 1024 ways to reach the terrace but only one to come back! Built in 1785, this was constructed by the Nawab to provide employment to the poor. The maze came about unintentionally to support the weight of the building. But it helped in confusing any enemy intruder. The pathways are hollow and it transmits sound as well. The Nawabs were able to hear all the gossip being said behind their back by the officials.

When you finally reach the top of the structure, you can see all of Lucknow at once. It is located at Bara Imambara, one of the grandest buildings of Lucknow. It also includes the large Asfi mosque, bowl and a step well.
