Prepared by a Japanese chef, the Japan Travel Cafe Azuki serves a range of authentic Japanese desserts and food to indulge in at this quaint cafe located on the Residency Road in Bengaluru. The cafe is situated right next to a Japanese Travel agency company – Rel Masala Tours.

What’s In It?

Expect ceramic cutlery, Kimonos along with a seating of five-tables and traditional cultural items on the decor with delicious food to gorge on. With a limited amount of dishes on the menu, the cafe serves on the plate flavoursome meals with simplicity at its best. They even serve Matcha Milk Tea which can be matched up with your meal of Curry Rice, a delicious Japanese Rice and tempura topping or Donburi.

Try the Matcha Dorayaki, it’s a mildly sweet red bean paste sandwiched between soft matcha pancakes. Daifuku is an azuki bean paste rolled in a chewy rice ball, Mitrashi Dango includes rice balls glazed with salty-sweet soy sauce and Ropu Manju are cube-shaped fluffy pancakes with a sweet bean paste filling.

You can also indulge in crispy Kakiage fritters that are eaten along with a bowl of rice flavoured with Soy broth called dashi, this dish will surely transport you to Japan itself!
