Spread over 65,127.5 acres, this national park has a hilly landscape with dense forests, valleys and varying species of flora and fauna!

What Is It?

The Bannerghatta National Park has grown from housing 78 species of animals to 1300! From the Suvarnamukhi stream running through the park, to wild animals, reptiles, butterflies and impenetrable trees and shrubs, this sanctuary has it all.

It is the first sanctuary in India that is home to 20 different species of butterflies in the butterfly park that is spread over 10,000 square feet. You can also find elephant in a 122 acres of confined space, specially delegated for them to roam freely and safely.

What Else?

If you take the Grand Safari you’ll be able to spot animals like elephants, Indian gazelles, leopards, jackals, sloth bears, Bisons, Royal Bengal tigers, Rhinoceroses, monitor lizards, hippos, Asiatic lions, wild boars, barking deers, porcupines, spotted deers, langurs, foxes, white tigers, bears and king lions.

You’ll also find reptiles within the park like the pythons, Russell’s vipers, crocodiles, monitor lizards and cobras. You’ll be surrounded by soaring trees like bamboo, eucalyptus, tamarind, neem, sandalwood and santalum, while you walk up in the park. You can also go on a boating trip too!
