We found a paradise in the desert! A wadi is a dry riverbed that fills up during heavy rainfall but Wadi Bani Khalid never dries up.

What Is It?

Wadi Bani Khalid is one of the most popular wadis in the Sultanate of Oman. Located about 203 km away from Muscat, this wadi maintains a constant flow of water throughout the year. It is a favorite among tourists & residents because of splendid emerald pools surrounded by plenty of lush palm trees & its beautiful boulders & caves. You’ll find visitors diving into these large pools & for those who can’t swim, you can dip your feet in for a natural fish pedicure.

What Else?

The area has been maintained well by the government with seats & shades for those who just want to relax on the side & enjoy the tranquility. A trek uphill reveals furthermore the source of the wadi & even better views. Visitors are advised to dress decently to respect the local community in the nearby villages. There is also a canteen on the premises so you don’t have to be worried about running out of food or water if you decide to spend the entire day relaxing in this gorgeous oasis.
