Mumbai gets a new railway route, Nerul-Kharkopar which is the latest addition to Mumbai’s lifeline – local trains.

What Is It?

Inaugurated on November 11, Nerul-Kharkopar is the latest addition to the Mumbai Railway line that is making Navi Mumbai accessible to the rest of the city.

The new route will connect Nerul to Kharkopar and Belapur to Kharkopar. There will be six new stations on the line – Nerul, Seawoods-Darave, Belapur, Targhar, Bamandongri, Kharkopar.

The line will connect Ulwe with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Panvel on the harbour route and Thane on the trans-harbour corridor.
