This US State Is Relocating People & Paying Them To Work Remotely

The US state of Vermont is paying people $10,000 (6.7 lakh approx) to relocate the state and work remotely.

What Is It?

Spend your days working at home in a beautiful state of mind and surrounding landscape in Vermont. The New Remote Worker Grant Program will fund 100 remote workers in 2019. The condition is that they must be employed full-time by an out-of-state business and must work from co-working spaces or home offices.

What’s In It?

Think of lush landscapes, maple syrup and ski trails and take on this dream job of working remotely and getting an incentive of $10,000 (6.7 lakh approximately). Some lucky American citizens will be given the same amount to work out of home office or co-working spaces with broadband access included.

The money will be granted to prospective citizens on a first come, first serve basis from January 1, 2019. Vermont’s governor signed a law recently to spend the amount between 300 to 1,000 people to move to these remote areas and provide them with remote working jobs with out-of-state companies.

This new program is designed to recruit young millennial workers to Vermont who will be moving to the Green Mountain state and will be required to pay income tax in Vermont once they’ve relocated.
