At this place, you can see rain, feel the rain but the catch is that you won’t get wet here at all.  Yes, you read it right! Sharjah Art Foundation has a room dedicated to rain which is called The Rain Room. 

What is it? 

If you love the rain and wish to have a continuous rainfall throughout the year? The Sharjah Art Foundation has heard your wish and they have installed a rain room which is crafted by Random International. In 2012 it was launched for the first time at the Curve, Barbican, London then in New York (2013), Shanghai (2015), Los Angeles (2015-2017) but its now exclusively and permanent for the Middle East and it was only possible because of the Sharjah Art Foundation.

Whats in it?

Its a room filled with motion sensor wherein you can see and feel the rain but you won’t get wet. In the rain room wherever you walk, triggers the movement with the help of motion sensor and the rains will stop in that particular spot.  How cool is that right! Also, the rain room uses 1200 litres of self- cleaning, recycled water. And you can enjoy all of this just for AED 25 and there is a special discount for students and teachers as well.
