According to the union ministry, watersports will soon start again on Mumbai’s iconic Marine Drive!
What Is It?
To promote tourism, Mumbai’s Marine Drive will probably be hosting a bunch of watersports again. With the introduction of watersports at Juhu beach, Marine Drive can’t fall behind! Along with that, Sassoon Docks, Mandhwa, Alibaug, and Sewri Fort will also be transformed into beautiful tourist attractions in the city.

What Do We Know?
Apart from being able to flaunt your jet ski skills on Marine Drive, the government plans to enhance the overall appeal of Mumbai’s port area to increase tourism of the city. A project to develop cruise liners from Mumbai ports to various destinations within and outside the country is being planned. The Mumbai to Goa cruise will be launching by 1st August and the Mumbai to Bangkok cruise will be launching in September.
Once the monsoons are done, the floating restaurant – Mumbai Maiden will be back to take us through the gorgeous sea link. The government is also planning to introduce another floating restaurant along with shores of Gateway Of India.

What Else?
Not just building the infrastructure around ports, the government is also planning to offer discounts on port charges, e-visas or visas on arrival at ports. Looks like we’re gonna have to start planning our vacays by sea more often now!
