“Beer is not just some liquid.”  It is sunshine held in a bottle that spreads the light of love, friendship and smiles. (Of course! 4 pints later!)

Bringing together different people since years altogether beer is the best ice-breaker between any number of people. You can go on a beer date or a post-work evening with colleagues. And just a pint after a tiring day along with some pizza and Netflix is all one could ever ask for a great day.

Bengaluru is a place for people like us! You know the ones who love beer to death. Yes right! The city is filled with a large number of microbreweries, brewing beer of all kinds! And we have a list of six such breweries in the city which you really have to go to:

1. Toit, Indiranagar

If you ever ask a Bangalorean about good beer, they’d suggest Toit with their eyes closed. Yes! This is absolutely a must visit! Spread across in a 3-storey mansion, Toit is the best option for light beer drinkers and Irish Red Ale and Dry Stout for the ones who like it strong.

With: Pepperoni pizza and beer at Toit are the best way to end a long day. Believe me there!

Apple Cider at Prost is a well-known amongst most Bangaloreans and you’ll know with just one sip why! Yes, because its just so delectable. Prost is German for ‘cheers’ and guess what? A fresh glass of brewed beer at industrial themed place will sure make your night really really good! Prost Special, Jona’s Fave and Wheat Beer are a few other options you can indulge in.

This place bustles with a crowd pretty much all the time it’s open and has a huge microbrewery. You can chose from a number of beers like, Wheat Beer, Belgium Ale, Dark Ale, Stout etc. I am personally a fan of Phat Abbot! Light and flavourful and just the BEST!

With: Loaded Nachos and Bacon Chilli Cheese Fries! Thats it! Your night is sorted.

4. Windmills Craftworks, Whitefield

Jazz lovers! Reunite! Watch a live jazz band perform as you sip on some amazing freshly brewed beer at Windmills Craftworks. Beers like Hefeweizen, Stout, and Indian Pale Ale make this place a favourite amongst Bangaloreans, despite its faraway location.

With: Beef Picante and Mushroom Cheese and Bread are dishes that are a must-try!

With: Meat-Eater’s Platter & pork sausages wrapped in bacon is a delight along with the Stout.

6. The Druid Garden, Yelahanka
