A layered landscape, acres and acres of tea gardens and 600km of the glorious Arabian Sea coast – here’s how you can make the best of Kerala in just 7 days!

What Is It?

Kerala – God’s Own Country – is a dedication to the Divine. Greenery as far as your eye can see, manicured tea plantations and the soothing backwaters, it would be unfair to leave this beautiful land without experiencing everything. With that in mind, we’ve curated a 7 day itinerary for you to explore all of Kerala.

One of the best ways to travel is to book hassle free and we recommend Goomo. Not only is it cheaper than other competitor portals (no hidden fees), but its only really simple to book. Additionally, you can use ‘GOOMO25’ to avail a discount that’s exclusive to our Curly Tales readers!

Day 1 – Cochin – Munnar

Fly in to Cochin and head straight to the beauty of Munnar. Don’t forget to soak in the scenery of the winding drive to the hilltop. Breathe in the crisp mountain air and watch the sunlight dance through acres of trees and tea plantations. Keep an eye out for those craggy peaks. Munnar is the ideal retreat for your weary soul. You can either go out exploring or just relax on Day 1.

Watch the sunset over the scenic Mattupetty Dam and then head straight for a massage in the mountains!

Day 3 – Thekkady

Aah Thekkady! The drive to Thekkady is lined with rows and rows of beautiful hanging flowers and we bet you’re going to step out just to take pictures. Stop over for an authentic lunch of spicy Kerala beef fry or maybe a simple vegetarian fare of sambhar and rice. If you feel up to it, head over to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary for a midnight trek!
