2. Brahmatal

3. Satopanth Tal

4. Hemkund Lake

Pack your sturdy trekking shoes and go for a hike to Hemkund Sahib, popularly known as Hemkund Lake. It is quite challenging but the ethereal views of seven snow-capped peaks along with the adventures make this trek worth it! As the name suggests, this glacial lake is considered a significant pilgrimage site for Sikhs. After a successful trek, people visit the Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara located on the banks of this lake.

5. Kedartal

This lake in Uttarakhand receives water from the Kedar Glacier. Hence, it is also known as Shiva’s Lake. This panoramic landscape offers views of the crystal-clear waters from the glacier and snow mountains. Some of them are Thalay Sagar, Meru, and Bhrigupanth peaks. If you are an adventure junkie, then you have to plan a trek to Kedartal. It is challenging due to its rugged terrain.

6. Roopkund Lake

Uttarakhand’s one of the most scenic and spooky high-altitude lakes is Roopkund Lake. This glacial lake which mostly remains snow-covered is also known as Skeleton Lake. It is named so as hundreds of human skeletons are seen on its edge! It is said that these skeletal remains might date back to the 9th century.
