As announced by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, local trains will restart operations in Mumbai from August 15, 2021, for fully vaccinated passengers. Addressing via Facebook, Thackeray stated that fully vaccinated travellers can avail their passes from an app. He added that for people without smartphones, there will be an offline system too. People can travel via local trains 14 days after receiving the 2nd dose of the vaccine. Monthly passes will be available on smartphones as well as ward offices or suburban railway stations. The passes will have QR codes for verification of authenticity. Now, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that beaches, gardens and public grounds in Mumbai can remain open on all days from 6 AM to 10 PM.

Get Passes At Mumbai Railway Stations
The passes have started being issued from August 11, 7 am at suburban railway stations. The offline issuance of passes will continue for all 7 days of the week at 358 help desks at 53 stations in Mumbai. Carry your Covid-19 vaccination final certificate hard copy and Photo Id. The BMC has warned that strict legal action will be taken if false vaccination certificates will be used for obtaining passes.

Fully Vaccinated Passengers Arriving In Maharashtra Do Not Need RT-PCR Reports
The RT-PCR test report has been made mandatory to fly to most places across the country. With the deadly second wave, the travel restrictions were doubly tightened. However, with the rollout of the vaccine, travel will soon be hassle-free for fully vaccinated travellers. The Modi government is working on a mechanism to enable hassle-free domestic air travel and do away with the mandatory negative RT-PCR test reports for passengers.
Fully Vaccinated Passengers Do Not Need RT-PCR Report To Enter Mumbai
Meanwhile, fully vaccinated domestic passengers will now be exempted from carrying negative RT-PCR reports when they arrive at Mumbai airport. The government had earlier made a negative RT-PCR test report mandatory for all passengers arriving in Mumbai. These restrictions were primarily imposed on the passengers arriving from Gujarat, Goa, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Kerala.
Aviation Ministry Is Working On Making Travel Hassle-Free For Vaccinated People
As reported by ANI, Minister of Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri said that a joint team including the ministries and health department, are in discussion to take a final decision on allowing vaccinated passengers to fly without a COVID-19 report. The final decision will be taken by the civil aviation ministry along with health experts who are working with the government to safeguard the interests of passengers.
