Nestled in the heart of Nilgiri’s tea country near Ooty, lies a beautiful cottage that offers you total relaxation, delicious French food and a stunning view that can fill your Instagram feed. Welcome to La Maison, a bungalow built in 1888 by a Scottish man named Kay. The heritage bungalow set amidst tea gardens was later bought by Monsieur Benoit Siat, from France. It was given a stunning makeover, where the original frame was kept intact but an additional glass roof was added, creating a bigger space for light. Let’s tell you more about La Maison so you can plan a rejuvenating holiday.
La Maison Offers Stunning Views Of The Tea Gardens
La Maison, owned and well-maintained by Monsieur Benoit Siat, has four cosy rooms where you can check yourself in. Guests who aren’t booking the entire bungalow can request rooms by the balcony. This beautiful heritage home has “his” and “hers” sinks in the bathrooms, a regal drawing room and bed canopies.
The homely vibes here coupled with tea gardens as far as the eyes can see are some of the highlights of La Maison. A single room occupancy costs ₹6600 plus 18 per cent GST, per night. And a double room occupancy is priced at ₹7450 plus 18 per cent GST per night.
