If you didn’t already know, the title of this web series is named after the city, Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh! This city is the prime real-life filming location for most of its three seasons. It is the nearest location to Prayagraj, you can easily visit it and identify most of the Mirzapur season 2 scenes. The scene where Kaleen Bhaiya, played by Pankaj Tripathi, performs the last rites of Bauji, played by Kulbhushan Kharbanda is at the Jargo Dam. It is located in Chunar near Mirzapur. Another memorable scene is when Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Golu (Shweta Tripathi) shoot at Munna (Divyenndu), which is in the same location.

The iconic screengrabs of Mirzapur’s Tripathi Kothi and Kaleen Bhaiya’s mansion are none other than the famous Azmatgarh Palace in Varanasi. It is commonly known as the Moti Jheel Mahal and is one of Mirzapur’s most picturesque real-life filming locations. Next, the Tripathi Chowk shown is the entrance to Ramnagar Fort. It is showcased many times throughout the series. If you visited Ramnagar Fort, we hope you were able to spot it right away. It’s Varanasi, we can’t forget about the glorious ghats of this city and neither did the creators of Mirzapur! Kashi Nagri is a central location you might have come across while watching the show.

Muskuraiye aap Lucknow mein hai! We know you will book a ticket to this Nawaab city in the blink of an eye for delicious galouti kebabs, biryani, nihari and sheer khurma. Apart from the lip-smacking delicacies, major portions of Mirzapur were shot in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. One of the foremost sites is the crossing at Novelty MGS Cinemas in Lalbagh; eagle-eyed fans may have spotted it. Guddu visits this city to meet his sister, Golu.

This is the farthest city from Prayagraj and Mirzapur used multiple aerial shots of this area. If you belong to this place, have you caught glimpses of the shots shown in the series?
