‘Taste of Dubai’, a mega food fest is coming to Dubai Media City this weekend and it has a good lineup of top-notch restaurants, celebrity chefs, cookery workshops and more.
Foodies, listen up! There’s a mega food fest coming to town this month and it’s got the best restaurants on board. A three-day fest- Taste of Dubai will start on 7th March and will go on until 9th March at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Over the three days, guests can expect to be treated to tasters from top-notch restaurants, witness world-class chefs cook up a storm at the live kitchen, attend cookery workshops, and also have fun with some live entertainment.
The cookery workshops are conducted by work-class chefs, including David Myers, Masaharu Morimoto, Nick Alvis, Scott Price, Simon Rimmer, Tarek Ibrahim, Lorna Maseko, Mohammad Orfali, Hattem Mattar, Jenny Morris, and Matt Preston, so you are sure to steal some hi-end lessons. The Taste of Dubai fest happens once every year and this year, the event is expecting to host over 25,000 visitors.
What’s On The Menu
The fest features a huge list of restaurants, bringing together bakers, and chefs under one roof. As for the menu, you can expect anything and everything under the sun from Nobu‘s Black Cod uno Mizo, to the legendary Beef Wellington at Gordon Ramsey. That’s not all. There’s also an exclusive Masterchef pop-up showcasing an impressive menu from past winners. And if baking is your passion, head to the at the JIF Big Baking Tent and attend the exclusive baking masterclasses conducted by the French Pâtissier, Eric Lanlard.
You can also cook alongside celebrity chefs at the Al Ain Farms and Kibsons Cooking Challenge or witness celebrity chefs showcase their skills, techniques and discuss the latest trends at the Crate and Barrel Chefs’ Theatre. And if you’re lucky, you will get to taste their creations too!
In addition to this, for the first time, MasterChef Australia’s Judge Matt Preston will host a ‘Mystery Box Challenge’ on 9 March. Participants will get to whip up their magic, which will then be judged by Matt himself.

There’s a good lineup of attractions including face painting, food-based games, as well as cupcake decorating station to keep kids entertained. Entry is free for kids under 12 years.
