5 Places In Mumbai That Serve The Most Delicious Sushi

Omg! This list could have gone to about 20 places we know that serve some of the best Sushi in town, but we’ve curated for you the top 5 which are obviously best amongst the best! If you’re a Sushi lover, this article has already grabbed your attention, so just find out if you’ve already been to the best sushi place yet or it should be on your weekend agenda.

1. Kofuku, Bandra

This Japanese restaurant on Linking road, in Bandra makes you feel right in Japan with its Japanese style seating and also normal ones, wooden tables and beautifully prepared Sushis! Their assorted Sashimi Moriwase appetiser and the Nigiri a-la-carte Sushi platter is nothing less than heaven in your mouth! Another dish that we absolutely were delighted to taste was the Cherry Blossom Maki Rolls. Simply delicious. Bonus: Mochi ice cream.

2. Pa Pa Ya, BKC

The exuberant interiors of the restaurant is pure art and when you order the sushis off their menu, you’ll want to bow down to the chef. The elegantly plated sushis on a serving platter is all goals, food and photography. Just can’t help but click click click! Try their Not-as-fancy Maki Rolls and Sushi Matrix too.

3. Shizusan Asian Shophouse & Bar, Lower Parel

This restaurant has a dedicated Japanese-themed Sushi and ramen bar which is 12-ft-long, made of wood and leather. Try their Nigiri and Maki Rolls, of which The Sriracha Blush (Rs545) a maki roll, made up of avocado, cucumber, jalapeno tempura and cream cheese is their take on the Thai version! However, you can ask them to either serve you the Sriracha on the side or in a minimal quantity as Sriracha tends to overpower dishes.

They have a huge assortment of Sushi, Nigiri, Hosomaki, Maki and Sashimi rolls for you to choose from. You can expect to enjoy theatrics with Sushi platters like the Joss Volcano that is stuffed with avocado, tuna, salmon, cucumber and crab! If you’re a vegetarian, go for the Spicy Samurai Rolls.

A combination of Korean and Japanese cuisine, this restaurant highlights Sushi on a different level all together. From egg Nigiri to Salmon, Tuna, Octopus, Scallop, Eel and Tofu, they have it all. For vegetarians they have interesting choices in Maki rolls like Avocado, Mushroom, Asparagus and Cucumber. So, Sushi is just not for seafood lovers but a little bit of love has been passed to vegetarians also.
