2. Coast Café, Hauz Khas Village

Unlike any typical South Indian canteen, Coast Café is an uber-chic restaurant that serves delectable South Indian cuisine in a whole new way. This hip café sits comfortably on top of Ogaan store. People who shop at Ogaan often take a refreshing break by visiting this café upstairs. Now, if you are a fan of Malayali food, you will love this place. They serve yummy Kerala Fish Fry, Malabari Cokum Curry, Avial, Beans Thoran and scrumptious Appam with Chicken Stew. This place is perfect for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning!

This is one of the most popular South Indian restaurants in Gurgaon. This place not only serves amazing food from down South but has a décor that is a visual treat in itself. Think of dining inside a grand wooden boat – yup, you got the hint! Talking about food, you must try the Onion Dal Vada, Pineapple Rasam with Appalam, Crispy Gunpowder Prawns, Muttai Kalakki (street style omelette), Mutton Dosa, Egg Masala Uthappam and Mysore Masala Dosa.

4. Madhuban, DLF Phase 4

This cute little eatery tucked in one of Gurgaon’s poshest area serves authentic Sattvic food. This essentially means Madhuban serves yummy South Indian Breakfast minus the onions and garlic! Nonetheless, the food is super tasty and pocket-friendly. Try their Pesarattu Dosa, which is Andhra Dosa made of whole green grams and served with traditional Andhra Ginger Chutney. Also, their Podi Uthappam and Broken Wheat Upma is delightful.

5. Karnataka Food Centre, RK Puram

Once again, this restaurant always has a long line of hungry customers waiting to get inside. What’s their greatest highlight? – The Mangalorean Sambar! However, beyond the Sambar there are many other appetising dishes available on the menu. We love their Tiffin Thali that comprises of an assorted selection of snacks, Rava Paneer Dosa, Dahi Vada, hot Badam Milk and Masala Uthappam.
