Guru Nanak Darbar is the first official Sikh temple in the UAE and the largest in the Gulf Region that sees approx 10,000 visitors every Friday.
What Is It?
The Guru Nanak Darbar is built over 100,000 sq. ft and took 3 years to complete. This all was only possible because of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makhtoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai who donated this land for free. The Gurdwara is the spiritual home to the 50,000 Sikh residents of Dubai.

Whats Unique?
The Langar which is a Sikh community’s free kitchen service serves 3 meals a day and the kitchen opens and runs from 4:30 am to 10:30 pm. Since its inception around 800,000 visitors have been eating from the langar which is absolutely free. The Gurudwara has entered the Guinness Book of World Records by serving 101 different nationalities to have a continental breakfast together and is also featured in the Dubai Tourism Website as a must visit place in the UAE. They host an iftar event every year during Ramadan and invite guests from every religion to partake breaking fast with their Muslim friends, which truly shows how they value life with no boundaries.
