Do you remember Titanic? In 1912, RMS Titanic was a British passenger ship that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean. According to the records, the ship had crashed with an iceberg on its maiden voyage. And, at that time, it was the deadliest sinking of a ship. After years this accident took place, attempts were made to find this missing ship. The ship’s grandeur was the talk of the town! In fact, an Instagram account has posted the food menu served on Titanic from 1912 — take a look!
The Food Menu On Titanic Was Extensive

The Instagram account, TasteAtlas, has posted the food menu from 1912 that was served on Titanic. The post features three different menus for first, second and third classes — with the image of the dining areas. And interestingly, the date on the menu is 14th April 1912 — a day before the sinking date!
According to the menu, Titanic served some of the most delicious dishes. For the first class, Consomme Fermier, Cockie Leekie, Fillets Of Brill, Chicken À La Maryland, Corned Beef, etc for lunch. They also served dishes from the grill like Grilled Mutton Chops, Mashed, Fried & Baked Jacket Potatoes, Custard Pudding, etc. The buffet consisted of Salmon Mayonnaise, Norwegian Anchovies, Round Of Spiced Beef, Veal & Ham Pie and so on.

Menus For Second & Third Classes

The post also features a breakfast menu for the second class. It includes Fresh Fish, Grilled Ox Kidneys & Bacon, Yarmouth Bloaters, Grilled Sausage, Mashed Potatoes, American Dry Hash Au Gratin, Grilled Ham & Fried Eggs, Fried Potatoes, Vienna & Graham Rolls, Soda Scones and more.
For the third class, the breakfast menu includes Jacket Potatoes Ham & Eggs, Fresh Bread & Butter, Oatmeal Porridge & Milk Smoked, Herrings, Marmalade, Tea, Swedish Bread and Coffee. For dinner, they were served Cabin Biscuits, Brown Gravy Sweet Corn Boiled Potatoes, Fresh Bread Roast Beef, Rice Soup, Plum Pudding, Sweet Sauce and Fruit.
In addition to this, the dining areas for all three classes were different. But, on the night of 14th April, innumerable lives were lost and the grandeur of Titanic came to an end!
