Emirates Issues Warning Ahead Of Eid Al Adha

Eid al Adha is almost here and Emirates has a small message before you head out for the long weekend. With travel plans sorted and your bags packed, we’re sure you are all set to hang your boots up and unwind too. However, the regional airline warns passengers to reach the airport early this weekend, anticipating massive traffic. DXB is expecting crazy crowd at terminal 3 this weekend, so plan your travel in advance.

    What’s It?

Passengers traveling outside Dubai for Eid al Adha are advised to reach Dubai International airport early, as massive traffic is expected at the airport. Over 372,000 passengers will transit out of DXB this weekend. Congestion at terminal 3 travel will begin on 8 August and will peak on Friday August 9 with over 100,000 people crowding the terminal.

Considering the in-flow, Emirates has advised passengers to arrive at the airport three hours before departure. And, if you want to speed things a little more and skip long queues, you can check in online-( 48 hours prior to your flight).

Gates open 90 minutes before departure and will close 20 minutes in advance. So plan you journey and have a great holiday!

    What Else?

UAE’s regional carrier- Emirates now has a new upgrade! Emirates travelers no longer have to worry about food while onboard. Whether starving mid-air or craving your favourite dessert, Emirates will satiate your hunger pangs and cravings, as the airline will soon let you pre-book your meal.

So, whether you like parathas, chicken, or beef- you can be rest assured to have it served hot while you’re onboard. Customers can pre-book their meal 5 days-24 hours prior to travel. And, don’t worry if you haven’t pre-booked, your meal will still be served.

Although no official launch date has been finalized, we hear that the new service will kick off sometime this year.
