What Is It?
If you’re a tea lover and you live in Noida or parts of Delhi NCR then you must visit this one-of-a-kind tea shop owned by Capt. V.K Mehra, a tea consultant. The tea leaves are brought down from Darjeeling and Assam and brewed to perfection to give you a fine tea tasting experience.
A quaint little tea shop located in Godavari Complex of Sector 37, it’s always buzzing with college students. Teasta also caters to coffee addicts with blends like Caribbean and Cold Coffee brews.
What’s In It?
From Darjeeling tea in orange pekof, lemon, litchi ice, peach ice, and Ginseng tea one can sip to their heart’s content. This can be accompanied by an array of scrumptious snacks like grilled sandwiches, brownies, momos, cookies and hot muffins.
The owner, Capt. V.K Mehra, was the first to start the concept of a tea shop in all of NCR region that too in a garage way back in 1995. He is now in his 70s and still greeting his customers with an everlasting smile on his face with the best of what he has to offer. V.K Mehra worked as a tea planter with Jardine Handerson Ltd for over 30 years after he retired from Indian Armed Forces in 1968. All the knowledge that he has comes from his experience where he worked as a tea planter in West Bengal.
The shop is small and usually crowded with students hanging around on the stools outside the shop and sipping on the tea while munching their favourite snacks after college hours. Mehra’s shop even has a myriad type of tea that the older generation has been buying since past 16 years now from his shop – Green Tea, Darjeeling Tea, Jasmine Green Tea and Nilgiri Tea.
