Super Blue Moon is said to be 2023’s brightest and biggest Supermoon and it will be seen in the skies on August 31.
It’s considered a Bluemoon when two full moons are seen from the Earth in the same calendar month. And it’s deemed as a Supermoon when the moon is at the closest point to the Earth.

The reason why it has been named Super Blue Moon is because it combines the two celestial occurrences, namely Bluemoon and Supermoon.

A major reason why people are so excited about this event is because the next one is expected to happen in January and March of 2037, according to NASA.

This is not the first time a Supermoon has risen in August. As you may have gathered, since this is called a Super Blue Moon, this is the second one for the month. The first Supermoon rose on August 1.
