AirlineRatings.com released their list of the safest airlines in the world.

According to this list, Air New Zealand has emerged as the safest airline in the world.

As per AirlineRatings.com, Air New Zealand “operates in challenging weather environments” and has “one of the most windy airports in the world” which tests the pilot’s abilities.

Australia carrier Qantas was placed second on the list. However, the difference between the two top places was only 1.5 points.

Interestingly, Qantas was declared the safest airline in 2023. Due to their “slip on fleet age,” they were placed in second position this year.

It is also to be noted that only one US airline, Alaska Airlines, made it to the list and was positioned at number 10.

Alaska Airlines also slipped two positions on the list. It was ranked number 8 in 2023.
