It is also known as the Madhava Perumal Temple and has been designated as a Monument of National Importance by the Government of India.

Temple’s Architecture

This ancient temple has massive pillars and resembles a maha mandapam. The pillars are carved with the 10 avatars of Lord Vishnu and also other deities.

The maha mandapam also has inscriptions from the Ramayana on the pillars and is one of the distinct features of this temple.
