Kempegowda International Airport saw a record-breaking passenger footfall in the fiscal year 2023-2024. The numbers include a major rise in numbers for both traffic of flyers and cargo volume.

Bengaluru airport witnessed the journeys of 37.53 million passengers in FY '24. Along with this, the airport also reported an unsurpassed movement of 439,524 metric tonnes of cargo.

32.86 million among these 37.53 million passengers travelled domestically. The domestic sector witnessed a rise of 17 per cent.

The rest of the 4.67 million were international passengers. Bengaluru Airport's international sector reported a spike of 23 per cent. In comparison to FY '23, the growth in FY 2023-2024 has been spectacular for both domestic and international sectors.

The airport premises recorded the highest number of passengers on April 29, 2023. The footfall reached 116,688 on that day.

Kempegowda International Airport was a significant connection for travellers as it operated flights on 108 routes; 80 domestic and 28 international destinations.

FY 2023-24 also recorded 245,880 air traffic movements (ATMs) with a spike of 10 per cent in domestic ATMs and 13 per cent in international ATMs compared with the previous fiscal year.
