If you do not want to go through all the steps of cooking the modak mixture and follow a long process, you can make Dry Fruits Modak and you won't even need a gas or a microwave oven for this.

1. Start preparing for Dry Fruits Modak by grinding almonds and cashews in a mixer. Once you get a coarse texture, add shredded coconut and dates to the powder. 2. Once you blend all these ingredients, add some ghee to it. Give it a mix once again till you see all the coarse powder of the ingredients are binding together.

3. If you don't want to put a lot of ghee to get the smooth texture, pour just about 1-2 tsp of water. Make sure you don't put more than this quantity. 4. Now take the nuts mixture and start forming into modak. You can either apply ghee on your palm and shape them or grease some on a mould and prepare the sweets.
