For the first time, the British monarchy has decided to open up Buckingham Palace's East Wing and parts of Balmoral Castle to visitors for the summer.

Besides opening these areas, they will also offer guided tours around these areas from mid-July to August.

Buckingham Palace's East Wing

For Buckingham Palace, they will temporarily open its East Wing.  This wing is home to the famous  balcony of the palace.

The Popular Balcony 

The East Wing is the front facade of this palace and features the central balcony. Monarchs and other royals gather here for public appearances on special occasions.

The combined price for a tour and visit to state rooms is £75 (₹6,777) for adults.

Balmoral Castle In Scotland

Besides Buckingham Palace, the royal family’s Balmoral Castle in Scotland will also be open for visitors this summer.

Opening Restricted Areas

Starting this summer, guided tours  will be offered of several rooms inside the castle. Earlier, access to the castle was limited to the ballroom, grounds,  and gardens.

The ticket cost for the Balmoral Castle tour will be tentatively priced at £100 - £150 (₹9,037- ₹13,555).
