Banh Mi sandwiches are a special delicacy of Vietnam and are primarily cooked using pork or other kinds of meat. If you want to make a vegan version of this popular sandwich, we have the perfect recipe for you.

. Start by shredding raw jackfruit and washing it thoroughly. Saute the slices in some oil and add some chopped scallions, minced garlic, fish sauce, red chilli paste, lemon juice, tamari, salt, and white vinegar. Cook on a low flame for a few minutes.

. Take a bowl and mix salt, sugar, water, maple syrup, pepper powder, and vinegar. Add chopped carrots, cilantro leaves, and cucumbers to it and mix let everything sit for 15 minutes.

. Take a separate pan and saute chopped lemongrass stalks with chopped onion and minced ginger.

. Next, add vegetable broth, cloves, and stir anise to it, and cook well. . Then, remove the excess broth and mix cooked jackfruit with it.
