Celebrate The Festive Season Gorging On Meva Mawa Kachori; Chef Kunal Kapur Shares Recipe

Celebrating festivities and special occasions is incomplete without relishing sweets. Chef Kunal Kapur shared a recipe for Meva Mawa Kachori for these memorable moments.

• 250g maida • 5 tbsp ghee • 5 tbsp oil • Water • Oil (for frying kachori) • ½ cup deseeded dried dates • ¼ cup toasted cashew nuts • ¼ cup toasted almonds • ¼ cup toasted pista • ¼ cup toasted pumpkin seeds • ¼ cup toasted melon seeds • 1 cup grated khoya • ½ tsp black cardamom powder • ½ tsp cardamom powder • ½ tsp clove powder • ½ tsp black pepper powder • ½ tsp dry ginger powder • ¼ tsp nutmeg powder • ¼ cup powdered sugar • 1 cup sugar • A pinch of saffron • A handful of chopped nuts

Ingredients:

• Knead flour, ghee, water, and 5 tbsp oil to make a smooth dough. Once done, keep it aside.

• Next, take a pan and add mawa, cardamom powder, black cardamom powder, clove powder, black pepper powder, dry ginger powder, nutmeg powder, and powdered sugar. 

Step 2

Cook for a few minutes and add all the dry fruits and seeds.

• Roll out small dough balls and stuff them with this sweet filling.

• Deep fry on a low flame. Meanwhile, also prepare a sugar syrup by mixing a cup of sugar in a cup of water. You can add a few saffron strands as well.

Dip each Meva Mawa Kachori in sugar syrup and garnish with chopped nuts.
