Chef Kunal Kapur shared a delicious Dal Chutney recipe and it goes well with rotis.

3 tbsp of oil 1/2 tsp of hing 3 dried chillies 1/4 cup of Bengal gram 1 tbsp of chopped ginger Handful of curry leaves Pinch of turmeric 1/2 cup of grated coconut 1 tbsp of tamarind paste 1/2 cup of water Salt as per taste 1 tsp mustard 1/2 tsp of cumin 1/2 tsp of urad dal

First, add oil to a pan on medium heat and add hing, dry red chillies and Bengal gram and roast for a bit till the dal turns brown.

Then, add chopped ginger, curry leaves, turmeric and roast well.

Transfer the mixture to a blender and add grated coconut, salt, tamarind paste and a little water.

Blend the mixture till it forms a coarse paste.

Finish the Dal Chutney with a tadka of curry leaves, cumin seeds and Bengal gram.
