Don’t let your creativity slow down and treat Bappa with this Malai Moong Dal Ladoo recipe by chef Aarti Madan (@aartimadan) on the 4th day of Ganesh Utsav.
1 cup moong dal ½ cup ghee Chopped almonds Chopped pistachios Melon seeds ¼ cup malai or fresh cream 1 cup bura sugar Cardamom powder

1. Dry roast the moong dal on medium to low heat until it gets a crispy texture and light brown colour. 2. Then, grind it into a fine powder.
3. In a kadhai, take 2 tbsp of ghee and add 1 tbsp of roughly chopped almonds, pistachios, and melon seeds. 4. Roast them for a couple of minutes and take them off the heat.
5. In the same kadhai, add 2 tbsp of ghee and then add the moong dal powder and roast for 4-5 minutes. 6. Next, add the malai/fresh cream and roast for another 4-5 minutes. 7. Once the mixture gets a light golden brown colour, take it off the heat.
8. Let the mixture cool down for a few minutes and then add bura along with the nuts and cardamom powder. Mix well.
9. Then, add hot ghee and mix well and start shaping the ladoos.
And that’s it! Your Malai Moong Dal Ladoos are all set to be served to Ganpati during puja!
