The 21 stations in the Rithala-Narela-Kundli metro corridor will open in 2028.
The 26.5-km route is intended to be an expansion of Delhi Metro's Red route.
It will significantly increase the areas of Narela, Bawana, and Alipur's connectivity with the rest of the city and spark a boom in infrastructure.
The DDA is creating an education hub in the Narela sub-city, which would house campuses of seven Delhi universities and other institutions
The corridor will guarantee smooth interstate communication between Delhi, Kundli (Haryana), and Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh).
Seven sectors of Rohini, as well as villages including Barwala, Sanoth, New Sanoth, and Narela, JJ Colony, would be the line's primary stations.
