250g of besan 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder 2 tsp of red chilli powder 1/2 tsp of coriander powder 1 tsp of red masala Salt to taste 600ml of water 30ml of oil 1 tsp of mustard seeds 1 tsp of jeera 4-5 garlic cloves 4-5 chillies 1 big onion 7-8 curry leaves Coriander leaves for garnish

To a bowl of besan, add spice powders.

For sourness, add kokum and then pour water. Whisk the batter well.

Pour oil into a pan and then add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, chopped garlic, green chillies, onions and curry leaves into it and let it splutter on medium heat.

Keep mixing it well till the onions caramelise. Then, pour the besan mixture in the kadai and keep mixing,
