Here are the four drinks she advises  to avoid or take in moderation  for better gut health.

1. Coffee

Dr Mamina Turegano says that coffee can worsen or cause acid reflux. She explains how caffeine can relax the lower muscles in your oesophagus, which can increase your risk for acid reflux.

2. Energy Drinks 

Besides excess caffeine, energy drinks also have artificial sweeteners like sucralose, which has been shown to cause damage to healthy gut bacteria.

3. Carbonated Beverages

If you deal with bloating, carbonated beverages can make bloating worse.

Despite being a great source of protein, in some cases, they can affect gut health and worsen acne.
