Don't Buy Cream Cheese Again

Make cream cheese at home using just ₹45 with a recipe by MasterChef India's Rukhsaar Sayeed.

Ingredients 

-Full fat milk -Vinegar (lemon juice) -Butter -Salt -Chilli flakes -Mixed herbs -Eno

Step 1 

First, heat the full-fat milk on a medium flame till its warm. Then, add vinegar or lemon juice to it and stir gently till it curdles.

Then, strain the chenna through a muslin cloth or seive to remove the excess water.

Step 2

Then, add the strained chenna, into a blender with 2-3 tbsp of milk, salt and butter. In another bowl, add Eno with a little water and mix it. Once it fizzes out, add it to the blender with the rest of the ingredients.

Step 3

Transfer this smooth, blended mixture into a pan and cook it till the mixture becomes glossy and stretchy.

Step 4

Cool this and transfer it into a pan. Garnish with chilli flakes and herbs. Refrigerate it and your Homemade Cheese Spread is ready!
