Celebrations are incomplete without relishing delicious sweets. If you want to gorge on healthier desserts, try making vegan sheera at home, Dr Shriram Nene shared a simple recipe.

• 1 cup almonds • 1 cup cashew nuts • 1 cup raisins • 1 cup walnuts • 2½ tbsp vegan butter • 1 bowl semolina • 2 cups water • Artificial sweetener • Pinch of cardamom powder

• Start preparing vegan sheera by chopping almonds, cashew nuts, raisins, and walnuts. Add ½ tbsp vegan butter to a heated pan and toss the chopped dry fruits for about a minute.

• Add 2 tbsp vegan butter to a pan and saute semolina. Fry for some time until it turns golden brown. Next, pour some water and cook till all water is absorbed.

• To sweeten the dessert, add any artificial sweetener of your choice. Add a pinch of cardamom powder for aromatic flavours.

• Lastly, add the fried dry fruits, mix well, and serve healthy vegan sheera hot.
