Durga Puja is a lot more than just a festival for Bengalis. These days mean spending time with loved ones, pandal hopping throughout the days and nights, and most importantly, relishing finger-licking delicacies.

Eateries and restaurants in the City of Joy did a spectacular business during the 6 days of Durga Puja this year. Thanks to the foodies, these places collectively did a business of more than ₹1,110 crores.

Record-Making Business

This year's earning records saw a 20 per cent spike than the 6 days of Durga Puja of the year 2022, according to the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Eastern India.

An Amazing Rise!

A Hotel and Restaurant Association of Eastern India spokesperson revealed that some restaurants in the city earned more than the pre-pandemic year of 2019.

The eateries and restaurants were filled with visitors all the time, even late at midnight. Some places experienced rainfall for some time on Navami. However, restaurants were still crowded.
