Just a few days back, the European Space Agency shared a picture of the Ram Setu, also known as Adam's Bridge. It has been captured using its Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite.

The high-resolution image beautifully presents the chain of limestone shoals creating a crucial connection between India and Sri Lanka.

What Does It Represent?

The Ram Setu is a 48 km long stretch between Rameswaram Island in India and Mannar Island in Sri Lanka. Both these places are well-connected with the mainland by railways and roads.

About The Bridge

The famous Adam's Bridge parts the Gulf of Mannar (south) and the Palk Strait (north). The Gulf of Mannar is an inlet of the Indian Ocean and the  Palk Strait is an inlet of the Bay of Bengal, according to a report by ABP LIVE.
