A study by researchers of Sorbonne University in France has found that eating too much junk can contribute to higher risks of insomnia.

Researchers analysed the diet and  sleep patterns of more than 40,000 people for this study.

After a deep analysis, they concluded that there is a link between high  ultra-processed food consumption and risks of insomnia.

The researchers of Sorbonne University have instead suggested adopting  a Mediterranean diet to lower the  risks of insomnia.

It has been found that vegetables,  fruits, legumes, and seafood can  improve sleep quality.
