• ½ cup dried figs (anjeer) • ¼ cup dates • ¼ cup lightly roasted peanuts • 3 tbsp chopped cashews • 3 tbsp grated coconut • 1 tbsp ghee • ½ teaspoon cardamom powder • Silver varak (for garnish)

• Soak anjeer and deseeded dates in hot water for about 20 minutes. Take a mixer grinder and blend soaked figs and dates into a fine paste.

• Next, pour ghee into a pan and cook the paste for 5 minutes.

• Turn off the gas and add peanut powder, chopped cashews, grated coconut, and cardamom powder. Mix everything gently to get a smooth texture.

• Lastly, grease modak moulds with ghee. Stuff some dry-fruit mixture in them and shape delectable modaks.
