Rice, chopped veggies, cumin, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, turmeric, coriander, red chilli, garam masala, water, salt and oil.

Wash and soak 1 cup basmati rice for 30 minutes. Chop 2 cups mixed vegetables.

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, and whole spices. Sauté until fragrant.

Add chopped onions and cook until golden. Then add ginger-garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, and mixed vegetables. Cook for 5-7 minutes.

Mix in turmeric, coriander powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.

Add the drained rice to the pan and sauté for 2 minutes. Pour in 2 cups of water, add salt, and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice is cooked and water is absorbed.
