Did you know about this vrat-special Maharashtrian dish that is usually made on Ekadashi or while people fast?
We’re talking about Shengdanyachi Amti. This dish is usually made for people who are fasting and goes amazingly with samak rice. And if you wish to try it as well, then you can try this easy recipe by chef Neha Deepak Shah.
1/3 cup peanuts 1-2 green chilli 2 slices of ginger 2 cups water Sendha namak Ghee Cumin seeds Curry leaves 3-4 round red chilli Coriander leaves

1. In a blender, mix 1/3 cup of peanuts, 1-2 green chilli, 2 slices of ginger, and a little water.
2. Once done, strain the mixture and add water till you get buttermilk-like consistency. 3. Now, place the mixture on a pan, add a little sendha namak to it, and let it cook on medium flame.
4. In the meantime, prepare the tadka for your Shengdanyachi Amti with 2 tsp ghee, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 5-6 curry leaves, and 3-4 red chillies.
5. Place the tadka in the pan and cook it for 3-4 minutes.
6. Take it off the heat and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
And that’s it! Your Shengdanyachi Amti is ready to be served and enjoyed with some samak rice and salad.
