Anant Ambani’s mad love for animals is now projected in Jamnagar’s Vantara. It is deemed the largest zoo along with animal rescue and rehabilitation centre in the world. It is also a special centre for elephants!

Started in 2002 by Jim Myers and Erika Abrams, this centre heals birds, dogs, cats, donkeys, cows, monkeys, pigs and more. Later, it even shelters these rescued animals for a better life.

Panbari’s Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation is located near the famous Kaziranga National Park and offers help to numerous injured and distressed animals like leopards, rhinos, elephants, tigers, and black bears.

Wildlife SOS has undertaken to rescue bears in this state, especially the ones who are illegally taken and trained as ‘dancing bears’, poaching and other conflicts. It is the world’s second-largest rescue centre for sloth bears.

Since 2001, they have rescued injured and distressed tigers, lions, crocodiles, tortoises, sloth bears and more. They also rescue chicks from Wildlife Trafficking at Vizag railway station.

Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens has a rehabilitation centre where they rescue animals. It is also a conservative breeding site for wild animals like Indian Gaur, Indian Grey Wolf, Dhole and Lion Tailed Macaque.
