How To Make Lovely Kibbeh, Syria's National Dish, Easily At Home?

Ingredients

 Fine bulgur wheat, ground meat, onion, spices and condiments.

Step 1

Prepare the Kibbeh Shell by soaking and blending bulgur, meat, onion, allspice, salt, and pepper.

Step 2

Sauté finely chopped onion in olive oil until translucent, then brown ground meat, season with cinnamon, salt, and pepper, and optionally add toasted pine nuts.

Step 3

Shape kibbeh shell mixture into small balls, create a hollow, fill with meat, and seal into ovals; repeat for desired quantity.

Step 4

Heat oil, fry kibbeh until golden (4-5 mins), then drain on paper towels.

Serve your freshly fried kibbeh with a side of tahini sauce, a crisp salad, and warm pita bread.
