– 2 tbsp ghee – 50g vermicelli – 4 cups whole milk – 4-5 tbsp sugar – 8-10 dates, chopped – ¼ tsp cardamom powder – Few saffron strands – 1 tsp rose water – 2 tbsp almonds, sliced – 2 tbsp pistachios, chopped – 2 tbsp cashews, chopped – Silver varq (optional)

Heat ghee in a pan, then add sliced almonds, pistachios and cashews, frying until golden brown.

Add vermicelli to the same pan and roast until light golden, about 1-2 minutes.

Pour in 4 cups of whole milk, add sugar, and bring to a gentle boil while stirring.

Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until vermicelli softens and milk thickens slightly.

Stir in chopped dates, cardamom powder, saffron strands and rose water.

Simmer for additional 5 minutes, then turn off heat and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
