On Monday, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi inaugurated the first international campus of India's prestigious IIT-Delhi in the UAE capital.
The event marked a significant moment for India-UAE relations, as it established IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi as a hub for advanced education and research.
During the inauguration, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed announced strategic partnerships between IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi and top UAE educational institutions.
Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence will partner with IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi for joint research projects, teaching programs, and internships.
The partnerships aim to foster joint academic programs, enhancing educational opportunities for students in both the UAE and India.
The collaborations will also facilitate the mobility of students and faculty, promoting knowledge sharing between the institutions.
IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi will work closely with Khalifa University on research programs, sharing lab spaces and research facilities.
The agreement to establish IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi was witnessed by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in July 2023.
