On Monday, March 19, IndiGo announced that it will be launching direct flights between Bengaluru and Lakshadweep.
The service between Bengaluru and Agatti Island will begin on March 31.

According to a report by Business Today, the route will be serviced by ATR aircraft, which has 78 seats.

Currently, Alliance Air, is the only Indian airline that operates flights for Lakshadweep.

As it happens, this airline also recently started additional flights between Kochi and Agatti Island.
