IndiGo has recently introduced a pricing structure because of which all the passengers need to pay a fuel charge. This charge is for both domestic and international routes and is dependent on the sector and distance.

In a statement, IndiGo stated that they came to this decision because of the rise in Aviation Turbine Fuel prices. In a span of the past 3 months, the cost has increased.

The additional tax on fuel is different based on the sector. It changes between ₹300 and ₹1,000.

• IndiGo is increasing ₹300 for journeys that cover distances of 500 km. • For journeys between 510 km and 1,000 km, it is ₹400.

• For trips between 1,001 km and 1,500 km, the charge is ₹550. • It is ₹650 for journeys between 1,501 km and 2,500 km.

• ₹800 is the charge for journeys between 2,501 and 3,500 km. • Lastly, it is costing ₹1,000 for trips beyond 3,501 km.
