Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve is set to reopen for tourists on 1 October 2024, subject to favourable weather conditions.

The reopening announcement was made by the Office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Eastern Assam Wildlife Division, on 7 September.

Initially, only Jeep Safaris will be available in three ranges: Kaziranga Range (Kohora), Western Range (Bagori), and Burapahar Range (Ghorakati).

Safari timings are from 7:30 to 10:00 in the morning and 13:30 to 15:00 in the afternoon.

The park typically closes from May to October due to flooding caused by the Brahmaputra River.
